Mom and Ethan are doing very well. The plan is to come home to the pink house Saturday morning. Thanks to everyone for the calls, texts, and emails.

Ethan is Here!

Introducing Ethan Alan. We met him at 6:15 this morning. All is well. As some of you know, he was a breach baby and we were trying to have him as naturally as possible. Heather was a real trooper and labored for over 15 hours, but Lil E refused to move down the pelvis. So we had to resort to a C-Section early this morning. But everyone is great, Mom, baby, and myself. As a consolation, he is 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 in. tall, so I am not sure if he would have fit butt-first anyways! We're very thrilled with him, don't really quite know what to do, but are loving every minute of it. Thanks for all the calls and emails of well wishes.

By the way, as I am sure some are wondering. Heather is related to the original Ethan Allen of Revolutionary War fame, not the furniture guy. And Alan is a family name on both our sides. Although if we play our cards right, someday our son might get us a great deal on a living room set! http://americanrevwar.homestead.com/files/allen.htm

Still Waiting

Happy St. Paddy's Day. We came into the hospital last night to get things rolling. The waiting game continues for now, although I suspect later today will have some news to report. Heather is doing great and is enjoying some fine daytime TV shows. More later....

Still Waiting

So we are at 40 weeks + 2 days as of today. One more doctor visit today, and one more trip home to wait for the Lil Unit to arrive. All is well with Mama and baby. He/she just isn't ready to make an appearance yet.

We will keep everyone posted on here with any news.
