Ethan is Here!

Introducing Ethan Alan. We met him at 6:15 this morning. All is well. As some of you know, he was a breach baby and we were trying to have him as naturally as possible. Heather was a real trooper and labored for over 15 hours, but Lil E refused to move down the pelvis. So we had to resort to a C-Section early this morning. But everyone is great, Mom, baby, and myself. As a consolation, he is 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 in. tall, so I am not sure if he would have fit butt-first anyways! We're very thrilled with him, don't really quite know what to do, but are loving every minute of it. Thanks for all the calls and emails of well wishes.

By the way, as I am sure some are wondering. Heather is related to the original Ethan Allen of Revolutionary War fame, not the furniture guy. And Alan is a family name on both our sides.
